Anti-freeze valve 1" (26/34) – Automatic protection valve for heat pump
Protect your heat pump from freezing with the FROZIO automatic valve
The FROZIO anti-freeze valve is the essential accessory to secure your monobloc heat pump (HP) installation. Designed to prevent costly damage caused by frost, it ensures automatic draining of the water circuit as soon as the temperature becomes critical, especially during power outages or breakdowns in winter.
Why install an anti-freeze valve on your heat pump?
In winter, if your heat pump stops (electrical failure or prolonged shutdown), stagnant water in the outdoor pipes can freeze, causing the heat exchanger or pipes to burst. The FROZIO valve uses a high-precision thermostatic element (Vernet France) which drains the water as soon as it drops to 3°C, thus protecting your entire system.
High-Quality Technical Specifications
- Dual Safety: Integrates an anti-vacuum device and a water temperature sensor.
- Activation Temperature: Opens at 3°C / Closes at 4°C.
- Robust Components: Brass body (EN 12165 CW617N) and stainless steel springs.
- High Capacity: Kv of 33 m³/h for optimal fluid flow.
- Compatibility: Standard G1" (ISO 228-1) connections.
- Operating Pressure: Up to 10 bar.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
To ensure maximum efficiency and a long lifespan for your equipment, follow these recommendations:
| Area of Focus | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Positioning | Mandatory vertical installation, outlet facing downwards. |
| Ground Clearance | Leave at least 15 cm between the drain outlet and the ground to prevent ice accumulation. |
| Insulation | Do not insulate the valve (it must detect ambient/fluid temperature). |
| Protection | Protect from direct rain, snow, and sun. |
| Electrolysis | Avoid direct contact between brass and stainless steel (10cm distance recommended). |
Simplified Maintenance
The FROZIO valve is designed to last. The vacuum breaker and temperature sensor are replaceable parts, allowing you to maintain your installation in perfect condition without changing the entire device.
Important Note: Always install the valves at the lowest point of the outdoor hydraulic connection to ensure complete and effective draining.
